İtfaiye ile daireye giren genç televizyon muhabiri Angela Vidal, hayatta
kalmaya çalışır. Ancak askerlerin bilmediği kendisinin tuhaf bir
enfeksiyonun tohumlarını taşıdığıdır. Bir kaç gün izole halde yaşaması
gereken yüksek korumalı bir kuruluş olan karantina tesisine kaldırılır.
Kıyıdan millerce uzaklıkta olan ve her tarafı sularla çevrili eski bir
petrol tankeri karantina için özellikle ayarlanmıştır.
